Counseling and Psychiatric Services
CAPS is the place on campus for students seeking help for a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress management, homesickness, adjustment or acculturation, relationships, issues around race, gender and sexual orientation (LBGTQ), substance abuse, traumatic experiences, eating or body image concerns, and other personal mental health concerns. CAPS combines the clinical services of counseling and psychiatry in one setting.

Social Science Peer-Assisted Learning
The College of Social Science Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL) program provides peer-led academic support for students in social science courses. PAL leaders facilitate study sessions, offer guidance on course material, and help students develop effective study strategies to improve their academic performance and confidence.

MSU Student Food Bank
Founded in 1993, the MSU Student Food Bank was the first in the nation to be run by students, for students. The MSU Student Food Bank was founded to help students who are dealing with food insecurity. Food insecurity refers to having limited food availability with a reduction in the quality or variety of food intake, that often results in disrupted eating patterns. A lack of food security can be a considerable obstacle to academic success.
