BIOGRAPHY
Bee Hazelwood (they/them) is a first-generation doctoral student in the Department of Sociology. Their research interests surround trans/genderqueer communities, particularly concerning the intersection of gender-identity with experiences of disability.From Utah State University, Bee received their M.S. and B.S. in Sociology, as well as an A.S. in Criminal Justice. Drawing on interviews with 16 bi+ identified individuals, Bee’s master’s thesis explores the ways in which bi+ folk navigate the development of their sexual-identities and engage with queer communities.
Bee currently serves on the council for QT-Grad, a student organization at MSU aimed at supporting queer and trans graduate students.
