The Sociology Graduate program has recently analyzed placement information about students who have graduated from the PhD program between 2004 and 2019. The vast majority of these graduate students are placed into academic positions at a variety of universities and colleges. These positions include tenure-track faculty, fixed term, full-time research, and post-doctoral research. A number of students also gain employment among other venues such as governmental positions and directors of social programs.
