Dr. Zhenmei Zhang receives AgeAlive award

Please join us for the 4th Annual AgeAlive Awards Ceremony which will take place via Zoom on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 4:00 – 5:00 pm. We are pleased that Andrea Amalfitano, D.O., Ph.D., MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine Dean, will be giving the opening remarks and Lisa Richey, MSU AgeAlive Assistant Director, will serve as this year’s Emcee. It promises to be a fun and meaningful event during which we will give well-deserved recognition to individuals who have contributed so much to the wellbeing of older adults and others by presenting the following awards:

 

The Research in Aging Awards will be presented to the following MSU Faculty members for their outstanding aging-related research:

  • David C. Zhu, Ph.D., and Dr. rer. nat. Norman Scheel (Ph.D., Dipl.-Inf.), College of Human Medicine and College of Osteopathic Medicine, Department of Radiology

  • Zhenmei Zhang, Ph.D., College of Social Science, Department of Sociology

 

The Intergenerational Award will be presented to:

  • MSU Community Volunteers for International Programs (CVIP), in recognition of leadership in fostering intergenerational experiences.

 

The Legacy Award will be presented to:

  • James Levande, Ph.D., for a long and outstanding history of service to others that improves quality of life and wellbeing for individuals and society.
