BIOGRAPHY
Afra Sayara Rahman is a doctoral student and Graduate Teaching Assistant in Sociology at Michigan State University. She previously served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Oklahoma State University, where she also earned her M.Sc. in Sociology. Originally from Bangladesh, Afra completed her bachelor’s degree in Disaster and Human Security Management at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). Her research interests include environmental sociology, gender and sexualities, social inequality, migration studies, disaster management, climate change, race and ethnicity, and public health.
