Yoojin Jang is a first-year Ph.D. student focusing on migration in the Sociology Department at Michigan State University. Her current research interests include migration, social networks, and development & sustainability in the Asian region. Her recent Master’s thesis at New York University examined how female domestic workers in Indonesia utilize their social networks to search for a job. As migration is becoming a prominent topic each year, she hopes that her research will aid in building real-world policies in the developing countries of Asia.
