BIOGRAPHY

Autumn Bland (she/her) is a third-year doctoral student in the Sociology Department, dual enrolled in the Environmental Science and Policy Program. Autumn’s research and teaching interests include environmental sociology, and water science. Her main research focuses on water access, environmental justice, and community-and-nature based solutions. Autumn is a part of the WaterCube National Science Foundation Research Traineeship Program focused on the nexus of Water Science, Social Science and Data Science through the Water Alliance. She is also a part of the GenCen (Center for Gender in Global Context) working towards a specialization in Gender, Justice and Environmental Change (GJEC). Autumn holds a Master of Environmental Studies (Sustainability Management and Water) from the University of Waterloo, and a certificate in Water Leadership. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts. from Michigan State.
