Sociology Faculty and Students Awards announced

MSU Sociology is pleased to announce a number of awards, fellowships and accolades for our community this spring.

• Ben Marley received the College of Social Science Fixed-Term Faculty Teaching Innovation Award.  This award is the highest recognition for teaching that any fixed-term faculty member can receive in our College.

• Cathy Liu received the College of Social Science Faculty Research Award.  This award is the highest recognition for research that any tenure-system faculty member can receive in our College.

• Jennifer Lai, Nicole Lehpamer, and Jihan Mohammed each received a summer Dissertation Completion Fellowship from the College of Social Science.

• Erykah Benson, an Interdisciplinary Studies major and University Learning Assistant for Dr. Marley, took third place in the oral presentation category at the MSU Honors College Diversity Research Showcase. Benson also won a prize for an outstanding research paper in the Excellence in Diversity Recognition and Awards Program.
