MSU Sociology inducts new members into honor society

The latest members of Alpha Kappa Delta, the international Sociology honor society, were inducted in a ceremony lead by Undergraduate Program Director Dr. Sarah Prior Thursday night.

New members include:

Sophia Sieder

Lauren Pease
Alana Mapp

Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD) is the International Sociology Honor Society dedicated to the ideal of investigating humanity for the purpose of service. AKD seeks to acknowledge and promote excellence in scholarship in the study of sociology, the research of social problems, and other social and intellectual activities that will lead to improvements in the human condition.

Also honored Thursday night were the 2026 Outstanding Graduating Senior Areté Keener and
Ruth Hamilton Award Winner Corinne Mansour.
