Speed Networking Workshop
Fri, April 24, 2026 12:00 PM at 457 Berkey
As part of our speaker series, we will be hosting a Speed Networking Workshop on April 24 from 12:00–1:00 PM in Berkey 457. Food will be provided. This session is designed as an informal opportunity for all faculty and graduate students to connect, share their work, and learn more about each other’s research interests. This session will follow a structured, speed-“dating"-style format, where participants will be seated across from one another and engage in timed discussions based on prompts, we will provide. Participants will rotate seats, and each new pairing will focus on a different question to help facilitate conversation and exchange about research interests.
We hope this event will:
- Help graduate students connect with faculty beyond their current courses or committees
- Provide faculty with a space to learn more about colleagues’ research and identify opportunities for collaboration
- Contribute to building a more connected and supportive departmental community
While this event is currently focused on faculty and graduate students, we do intend to expand future speaker series workshops to include other members of our broader community.
We encourage you to join us for what should be a collegial and engaging session.
