Establishing a Gender Center at University of Botswana

MSU Sociology and the Center for Gender in Global Context (GenCen) invite you to join us on Thursday, October 9, from 1:30–3 pm in Room 201 International Center. Dr. Godisang Mookodi (Senior Visiting Scholar from the University of Botswana) and Dr. Portia Loeto (University of Botswana; currently a Postdoctoral Visiting Scholar with GenCen/Sociology) will give a talk highlighting the challenges of building gender-focused research, teaching, and outreach at the University of Botswana.

Dr. Soma Chaudhuri, Associate Professor of Sociology and Director of GenCen, will make remarks as well as Jose Jackson-Malete of the Alliance for Africa Partnership. Facilitation will be by Aminda Smith of GenCen.
