Biography:

Sarah Prior, Ph.D., is a fixed-term Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Michigan State University.  In addition to teaching in the sociology department, Sarah has also taught for the Center for Gender in Global Context (GenCen) and the Criminal Justice Department at MSU.  She received her Ph.D. in Justice Studies from Arizona State University where she focused her research on youth gender identity construction and management.  Her research primarily focuses on gendered violence, critical youth studies, intersectionality, and gender and sexuality.  Her current work is examining campus sexual violence and the perpetuation of rape culture.
