Angelica Ruvalcaba

Biography:

Angelica Ruvalcaba is a second year dual Ph.D. student in the Department of Sociology and the Chicano / Latino Studies Program at Michigan State University. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in May 2017 from Texas A&M University.  Her research interests are migration, education, race and ethnicity, and Chicanx & Latinx sociology. She is specifically interested in studying the perseverance and resilience of Latinx undergraduate students in Predominantly White Institutions of higher education.
