Dr. Ruth Hamilton Award

RUTH HAMILTON AWARD  - an anonymous MSU benefactor established the All-University Endowed Awards Program. One of these awards was designated for the Department of Sociology and named in honor of Dr. Ruth Simms Hamilton, Professor of Sociology and Urban Affairs. Dr. Hamilton was known internationally for her research on the African Diaspora. The award recognizes an outstanding student rising to junior status for his/her commitment to the study fo Sociology. The annual stipend attached to this award is $200.00.
